Movie Review: Accidental Love (2015)

Accidental Love is a romance comedy with much more comedy than romance. You could even say it is a comedy movie, with just a little sprinkle of romance on it. As a comedy, it is quite funny, but as a romance movie, it is just okay.

Alice (Jessica Biel's character), a small town waitress is accidentally shot in the head with a nail gun at a restaurant where her boyfriend is proposing to her. She is rushed to the hospital, and just before a surgery is to be down, the hospital officials discover she doesn't have insurance. The operation is stopped, and she is sent home, with the nail still lodge in her head, which starts to affect her mentality and makes her do crazy stuff. While watching TV one day, she sees the advert of a senator (role played by Jake Gyllenhaal) from her state, and she went in search of the man, with the hope that he may be able to help her situation.

This movie has quite a lovely cast; Jessica Biel, Tracy Morgan. James Marsden, Jake Gyllenhall, Catherine Keener, and a host of others. Jessica Biel's acting is top notch, as is that of the other actors. The movie is quite colorful, with good locations, and great wardrobe. As I said earlier, it is really funny. So, if you want to watch a not too deep, funny RomCom, then go for this one. I would give it a 6.5 out of 10 in rating.
