Very Good
Magic in the Moonlight is a romance comedy set in the 1920s. It has Colin Firth playing the role of Stanley, a magician and trickster, who makes it a hobby exposing fortune tellers and spiritualists. He was broth in by his childhood friend to expose a young fortune teller by the name of Sophie (played by Emma Stone). He was blown away by her gift, and started to challenge what he had always believed in all his life.
Then he made a another discovery that made him go back to his skeptic ways. But, he had spent so much time with the beautiful Sophie, that he had developed feelings for her, and she had also fallen for him. She let him know how she felt about him, but, him being an egomaniac, didn't admit he felt the same. But he couldn't fight the feeling, and later had to show his emotional side.
Woddy Allen movies have a way of perfectly weaving humor, mystery, and romance to a sweet blend, and this is no exception. A lovely movie, with a lovely end. I love how Emma Stone has left the small league, and is now playing with he 'big dogs' like Colin Firth and Simon McBurney. This is a thrilling romance comedy. I'd give it a 8/10 rating.
