Scott Speedman plays the lead role in this romance comedy (as Jay Wheeler). He is a man that can't seem to get his life together; always in debt, and seem to always get in trouble. He works at a mental institution as a janitor. One day, a new female patient followed him out of the hospital because he had saved her from being sexually assaulted by another janitor.
He couldn't get her to stop feeling him and he got an idea. He had been fooling his wealthy parents into believing he was living a great life, and that he was in a steady relationship. He had also promised to bring his girlfriend along for his brother's wedding weekend which was in a couple of days. And since he didn't have any girlfriend, he decided to take Daisy (the psychiatric patient) home to his parents.
With time, the two grew fond of each other, and fell in-love. This is a good movie; not so GREAT, but a good love story. There are some parts where you feel uncomfortable watching Evan Rachel Wood (playing the role of Daisy) act out her part as a psychiatric patient, but generally, this is definitely a good romance comedy- I'd give it a 7/10 rating.
