Movie Review: Legally Blonde (2001)

Elle (played by Reese Witherspoon), a blonde Californian girl gets dumped by her boyfriend because he feels she is not the type of girl that would be acceptable by his parents. To get her man back, Elle decided to get into law school, and be the prim and proper girl her boyfriend was looking for. It was a challenge all the way, and she almost gave up many times, but she kept going. She pushed herself to her limits, and discovered a side of her she never knew was buried under all the glam of her former lifestyle. Along the line, she discovered she didn't need Warner after all.

This movie is very motivational, funny, romantic, and has a lot  of lessons about life. It also tries to erase the stereotype that most blonde women are dumb. There are so many funny characters in this movie, and the director made sure to use them in the right places, without making things look too cheesy. This movie also shows females that they can actually make it in a male dominated corporate world, without having to hoe around. Feminists would love this. Reese Witherspoon is adorable on screen, and it was like the script was made for her. She is actually 'legally blonde' in real life, and a very smart one.

I would give this movie a 7.5 rating out of 10. It is a good romance movie, and I would recommend it to anyone that likes RomComs,
