Movie Review: Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

Very Good

I thought this movie wasn't going to work with all the many A List actors thrown in the mix, but it is a great movie, and a very good romance comedy, with the drama on the side.

Bradley Cooper's character, Pat just got out of mental institution for beating up a man he found having sex with his wife in their home. He is trying to get his shit together so he can get back with his wife, who now has a restraining order against him. And then along came Tiffany (played by Jennifer Lawrence), who is just as messed up as he is, or maybe even more messed up. In all their chaos, they found love while trying to help each other out with the most important things in their individual lives.

Great acting from Jennifer Lawrence, great acting from Bradley Cooper, and ofcos very good acting from Robert DeNiro. The romance in this movie wasn't super electric, but it played out very good, especially in the beginning parts, when Tiffany was chasing Pat around during morning runs. The dialogues in the movie is what I think made the movie really great. The dialogue and the chemistry between all the actors. I would give the movie a 7.5 out of 10 in rating.
